Our journey began with the vision of two driven engineers turned entrepreneurs, Austin Webster and Ben Robinson, alongside a third partner, each bringing a wealth of over two decades of cumulative experience in construction, engineering, and the home service industry, aiming to revolutionize concrete surface aesthetics and functionality.
With backgrounds rooted in engineering and real-world application, Austin and Ben’s story started in undergrad, where their friendship and shared passion for meticulous craftsmanship and innovation took shape.
Ben, with his expertise in Civil Engineering gained as a superintendent for Payne Family Homes in St. Louis, and Austin, applying his mechanical engineering skills at Ford Motor Company in Detroit, both saw the potential for significant impact in the home service sector. Their paths, although diverging, stayed anchored in engineering and construction, eventually leading them back together with a shared entrepreneurial spirit and a vision for TruGrit Concrete Coatings.
